Opportunity Description

A long-term acute care hospital outside Lakeway, TX seeks a Registered Nurse with LTAC / Long Term Acute Care experience to join their growing team. This jobs is being offered as a contract assignment through HumanEdge. Local and travel Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply. Full-time, part-time and PRN schedules are available. Day shift and night shift are available for all schedules.

Job Duties

A Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurse provides individualized nursing care to critically ill patients or patients with complex/chronic conditions

  • Assessing a patient’s condition and planning/implementing the patient’s care plan
  • Ensuring ventilators, monitors and other types of medical equipment function properly
  • Administering intravenous fluids and medications
  • Observing and recording the patient’s vital signs
  • Assisting physicians in performing procedures
  • Ordering diagnostic tests
  • Treating wounds
  • Responding to life-saving situations using nursing standards and treatment protocols
Experience & Skills Required
  • Degree from an accredited Registered Nurse program
  • State Registered Nurse Certification
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurse
