Interventional Radiology Nurse: Poughkeepsie, NY

Seeking an energetic RN for a Diagnostic Special Procedures Department.  Come joint our team today! We have exciting, Great Paying opportunities across the U.S.! Both Local and Travel candidates are welcome to apply.

Contract position to start ASAP 13 weeks with option to extend 8 hour shift.  Days

Job Duties

Provides nursing care by assessing the patient pre-and-post- procedure and assisting the Radiologist in the various diagnostic radiology testing • Examples are: Interventional angiography, US guided thorocentesis / paracentesis, CT guided biopsies and any pt care needs that come up in the Medical Imaging Department. • Administer conscious sedation and other prescribed medication or pharmacological agents during and post Radiology testing. • Provides educational resources for patients and assesses each patient for understanding of procedures, post procedural education and life style modifications necessary for maintaining optimum health and assists the department in planning and implementing new programs within the department.

Experience & Skills Required

1-2 ytears hospital based experience

1 year Interventional Radiology

ICU experience a plus
