We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with a strong background in pediatric care, particularly focusing on ventilators, tracheostomies, and gastrostomy tubes. This per-diem position offers the flexibility of 12-hour shifts, either from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm or 6:00 pm to 6:30 am. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Deliver nursing care according to established standards and guidelines.
Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians or Registered Nurses.
Monitor patients' conditions, reporting any significant changes to the healthcare team.
Specialize in caring for pediatric patients with ventilators, tracheostomies, and gastrostomy tubes.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation.
Foster a compassionate and supportive atmosphere for patients and their families.
Experience & Skills Required
Valid and current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse license.
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in pediatric care.
Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and gastrostomy tubes.
BLS certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
