Med-Surg RNs provide care before and after medical procedures and surgeries. A Medical Surgery nurse must be able to evaluate patient condition, administer medication, ease pain, encourage activity, interpret rhythm strips, monitor labs, insert IVs, perform wound care, and on occasion provide palliative treatment. M/S nurses continuously monitor patent health status and provide input on how to proceed with treatment.
Services for inpatient dialysis is integrated within the layout. This is a quick paced environment of variable acuity that implements an interdisciplinary team model to care for patients across a diverse population. This unit is a case mix of patients with complex Med/Surg diagnoses, intermediate level stroke care services, and complex cardiopulmonary needs.
Experience & Skills Required
Requirements: 2+years’ experience Med/Surg/Tele
EPIC experience required
Strong tele skills
