Location: Wayne, NJ

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant for a 3-month contract position, with the potential for renewal, to join our team in Wayne, NJ. In this role, you will assist in providing physical therapy treatments aimed at improving residents' mobility, function, and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

Assist in administering physical therapy treatments as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.

Support residents in performing exercises and activities designed to restore function and prevent disability.

Monitor and document residents' progress and responses to therapy treatments.

Ensure the safety and comfort of residents during therapy sessions.

Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding treatment plans and goals.

Collaborate with the physical therapy team and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality care.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) required.

Strong understanding of physical therapy treatment principles, methods, and equipment.

Ability to observe and document residents' progress and reactions accurately.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to enhancing residents' well-being.

Additional Information:

This is a 3-month contract position, with the possibility of extension or renewal.

Previous experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
